Bloodstone, also known as heliotrope, is a green with some red stone (caused by iron oxide) and sometimes brown to yellowish marks also. Bloodstone has protective and grounding qualities. It has a calming effect in case of annoyance, aggression and impatience and thus improves self-control. But, the stone is also activating, invigorating and uplifting when tired. Heliotrope helps to set limits and keep out negative influences. Physically, the stone also has a balancing and neutralising effect.*
