Our VITAL ECO acupressure mat set not only looks beautifully natural, but is also made of pure natural materials. Both the acupressure mat and the pillow have a cover made of robust half-linen (50% linen, 50% cotton). The filling of the mat consists of coconut fibres glued together with rubber milk. The acupressure pillow is filled with buckwheat hulls. Regular use of the VITAL ECO acupressure mat can be beneficial for stress, neck and headaches, back and joint pain, tension, sciatic pain, chronic fatigue, sleep disorders, digestive disorders, poor circulation and much more. Acupressure is a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been used to heal the body and mind for more than 4,000 years.
Note: The VITAL ECO acupressure mat is slightly firmer than our standard acupressure mat due to the coconut fibre filling.
The effect of the relaxation mat set is based on acupressure, a component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Acupressure stimulates the flow of energy by applying pressure to the energy points of the body. This leads to an optimization of organ functions and can even relieve pain. So-called "nail beds" were used to heal the body and mind more than 4,000 years ago.
The VITAL acupressure mat set stimulates the acupressure points of the body, thereby promoting the flow of energy and has a vitalizing and balancing effect. Already after about 10 minutes of resting on the acupressure mat you will notice a change, for example in the form of warmth in the body parts lying on it, which are now better supplied with blood. The intensified blood circulation also improves the supply of nutrients to the tissues and blood pressure can decrease. The acupressure mat is also frequently used by athletes. They use the relaxation mat to shorten the regeneration time and to increase their performance.
It is best to wear a thin shirt and slowly lie down with your back on the relaxation mat. Gently rest your head on the acupressure pad. Breathe in deeply and calmly. The first 3 - 5 minutes can be a bit difficult, but if you can get though the first moments it will become more pleasant. You should not rest on the acupressure mat for more than 20-30 minutes.
Use the relaxation mat 1 - 2 times a day. After some time your body will get used to the pressure of the tips. You may soon feel like many other users who relax so deeply on the acupressure mat that they fall asleep on it.
